Gemma continued, "They will be there faster than Fals." Shat quoted a winner, and Tara hesitated as it was an entire month's salary. Feeling offended, Delour Tara continued, realizing Gemma had already hung up. Tara was left pondering, holding the phone, but the other party was asking for her opinion. She was just about to respond when Gemma quickly said, "It's settled then. This week, you'll be there." Tara wondered why the restriction had been applied only to her and Stella.

Men's minds were often inscrutable, and the thoughts of these wealthy, powerful young men were even more so. Tara had no choice but to accept it, hoping nothing unexpected would happen this week. They were tired from skiing today, and Tara needed to bring dinner to the gentlemen. Tara changed into her work uniform and waited in her room for half an hour before heading out to work. The gentlemen were in their rooms.

She was hungry too, but she had to finish delivering the meals before she could eat. She left her room and made her way to the kitchen. Achel saw her approaching and handed her a dish with freshly pan-fried cod pieces. He spoke to her in an accented tongue, "Have a little taste." Tara quickly took the dish and smiled brightly at him, "Thank you." She blushed slightly as her smile was simply too beautiful. It sounded like "You're welcome," but his tone was off.

Tara stood nearby, waiting for the chef to finish preparing the gentlemen's dinner while she ate the cod pieces. She had been outside for most of the day. Though she hadn't been skiing, she still felt tired. Yet, just recalling the string of salary increases she'd seen this month was enough to give her a renewed sense of energy. This well-paid job could only last a few more months, but it would be amazing if she kept getting raises like this for the rest of the time.

Tara placed the meals on the cart and fantasized about how much money she'd have in her bank account when she finally quit. Just thinking about it made her smile. She pushed the cart to the elevator. It was heavier than usual tonight, and she had to be extra careful. If anything spilled, they would deduct money from her pay. Tara pushed the cart into the elevator and went up to the second floor. She first headed to Jonah's room on the far right. She raised her hand and knocked on the door.

A voice from inside called out, "Come in." Entering the room, she realized Jonah was probably busy in his study. "Mr. Pearson, I've brought you dinner," she said as she set the meal down on the dining table. Before leaving, she added, "Mr. Pearson, please eat. The food might get cold if you wait too long." After speaking, she pushed the cart out. No sound came from the study. Tara moved to the next room, which belonged to Lance. She knocked on the door.

A few seconds later, she heard Lance's voice from inside, "The door's unlocked. Come in." Tara raised her hand and pushed the door open. Lance was dressed casually, holding a guitar and strumming as he sang. His voice was bright and rich, and his singing was flawless. Tara placed his dinner on the table while she listened to him sing. His voice was beautiful, and it was no wonder so many people were captivated by it. After setting the table, she prepared to leave as he finished his song.

His voice sounded almost ethereal, as if pleading. Tara wholeheartedly gave him a perfect score for his singing. But at this moment, she wasn't just a listener but also a housekeeper. She had to follow the house rules. Once the singing concluded, Tara spoke up, "Mr. Swain, your dinner is ready. Please enjoy."
