Chapter 13 Tara glanced at the clock on the wall. She had unknowingly slept for a few hours, and it was now 5:30 p.m. She felt a bit weak, but thought it fortunate that Gemma had given her half a day off; otherwise, she might have fallen sick. She wondered how the situation from the morning had been handled and who had locked her in the sunroom. Since it was almost dinnertime, she figured it was time to go out and ask around.

As soon as she stepped out of her room, she saw three people standing at the adjacent room's door. It was Stella, Leah, and Halley. The difference among them was that only Leah was dragging a suitcase. Her eyes were teary as she bid the other two women goodbye. "Take care," Stella's words revealed her reluctance to part with Leah. Halley, however, remained silent, disappointed that it wasn't Stella who was leaving instead. She suspected that this matter had something to do with Stella.

As Tara watched the scene before her, she guessed that the one who had locked her in the room was Leah. But she couldn't wrap her mind around it. Even if Leah didn't like her, she could have just ignored her. However, Leah had done just that. Tara stood to the side, watching. Leah, who was saying her goodbyes to Stella, spotted Tara. Their eyes met, and Stella and Halley looked over. The atmosphere instantly became awkward, but Tara's expression remained blank. Leah didn't apologize to Tara.

Wiping away the tears on her face, she dragged her suitcase and left. She wouldn't ask Tara for forgiveness because she knew that she would soon return, as Stella had promised to help her. Tara watched impassively as Leah left the villa. Without the boy band members present, Stella behaved coldly toward Tara, not bothering to put on an act. Hailey grew even more puzzled, wondering when Leah had developed such a deep grudge against Tara.

Tara decided to let the matter go to avoid causing herself any more frustration. She felt hungry and walked past Stella and Hailey toward the staff dining area. None of them had noticed that Soren was sitting on a couch in the lounge, watching everything that transpired. He found the drama among the housekeepers increasingly interesting. That afternoon, Tara sat in the lounge to rest. Her phone rang from the pocket of her uniform. She pulled it out and saw that it was Leah calling.

"Why is she calling?" Tara wondered to herself as she recalled Leah's face when she left the day before. "Leah, I was the one who locked you in the sunroom. I'm sorry," Leah apologized sincerely to Tara. Tara didn't know why Leah was suddenly calling to apologize. Nevertheless, Leah had already apologized. "It's okay," Tara replied before ending the call quickly. Tara was about to leave the lounge to eat the figs Terence had given her when Soren walked in.

He smiled and approached her, surprising her with a gesture that made her laugh despite herself. Tara assumed it was Gemma who had told Leah to apologize, not Soren. Over the next couple of days, the other housekeepers took turns delivering fruit and coffee to the boy band members. The two newly hired housekeepers were diligent and quiet, like Tara, keeping a low profile. Stella worried that they might be tough competition, but after observing them, she felt relieved.

Meanwhile, Halley wanted to put the new hires in their place. When one of the new housekeepers walked to the fruit bar with an empty bowl, Hailey bumped into her shoulder on purpose. Tara and Stella witnessed the incident but focused on preparing fruit.
