Chapter 47 Soren lazily called out to Tara, "What's the rush?" She had grown accustomed to his constant teasing. It seemed as though he felt uneasy if he didn't mock her. "I won't keep you any longer, Mr. Farrell. You should freshen up before enjoying your breakfast," she said, attempting to leave once more. However, Soren appeared more interested in her than in the food. Casually, Soren asked, "Are you not considering seducing me again? Who knows?
You might succeed this time." To Tara, Soren was unlike Lance. She never took his words seriously as he always enjoyed teasing others. With a serious tone, she replied, "Don't worry, Mr. Farrell, I won't overstep the line again." Hearing this, Soren clicked his tongue. "You are quite slow." He had dropped obvious hints, yet she still thought he was testing her. He didn't know how to deal with her anymore. Tara couldn't quite catch his words as she left the room with her cart.
Passing by Lance's room, she instinctively quickened her pace, as if there was a monster inside. By late afternoon, Tara was resting in the lounge around 4:00 pm, munching on cherries while watching television. Other than preparing meals for the men, there wasn't much for Stella and Tara to do. They were both eager to accompany the men on their vacation and were not concerned about their safety. Tara felt relaxed, no longer as anxious as the day before. However, Stella was in a gloomy mood.

Lance had discovered that she had purposely abandoned Tara, yet he and Gemma had taken no action. Stella was uncertain if she would be dismissed. Blaming Tara for all her troubles, Stella believed that if Tara had been fired when she was expelled from Jonah's room, none of this would have happened. Tara, unaware of Stella's animosity, focused on her cherries and the television show. Stella felt ignored and resentful.
Since being kicked out of Jonah's room, Tara had become distant, showing no interest in the men and becoming more difficult to handle. As the television buzzed in the lounge, Tara was briefly startled when Terence made an announcement over the speakers. She then listened attentively. "Mr. Swain and the others will have dinner in the dining room tonight.
Please prepare accordingly." Upon hearing the announcement, Tara recalled Lance's words from the previous night and was relieved that he had only been testing her. Otherwise, their meeting would have been awkward. "Tara, Mr. Galdey mentioned in the group that Mr. Swain and the others prefer housekeepers to keep their distance. Therefore, we must divide our tasks accordingly." Tara waited for Stella to elaborate, assuming she had not reached her main point yet.
As expected, Stella continued empathetically, "Let's stick to our recent routine. I will look after Mr. Swain and Mr. Pearson, while you will attend to Mr. Farrell and Mr. Wilhelm." Showing no emotion, Tara agreed to the plan. Observing Tara's indifference, Stella thought she was suppressing her anger, assuming Tara cared more than she let on and had mastered the art of concealing her emotions.
