---- Chapter 128 Tara gripped the watering can handle tightly and replied politely, "Good morning." Soren looked around. "Did you plant all these flowers in the yard?" "Yeah. I feel happy whenever I see them, so I keep planting more and more." Tara lowered her head to inspect the flowers. Whenever she saw flowers being sold at the market, she couldn't help but buy some. There was no stopping her at all.

He looked at her and said, "I can tell you take very good care of them." Tara didn't dare meet his eyes. She was afraid that his next sentence would be asking to come into the yard for a look. Soren got straight to the point. "I fell in love with you at first sight, so please give me a chance to court you." The watering can immediately dropped to the ground. Tara scrambled to pick it up and turned her back to him to hide her panic. "T have a boyfriend." ---- Soren's tone softened.

"You don't have a boyfriend." "I do," Tara insisted firmly. If she said she did, then she did. After saying that in a rush, she heard Soren laugh, which only made her more anxious. Why was he laughing? "Tara, I've looked into you, and you don't have a boyfriend. But-" Tara hadn't expected him to investigate her so quickly. He shouldn't have been able to find out anything about the past.

She waited a while but didn't hear anything else, so she couldn't help but ask, "But what?" "But you can have one now," he answered in a low voice. Tara, of course , understood what he was implying , but she quickly rejected him. "I'm not looking to be ina relationship right now." Even though Soren was in no hurry, he also didn't give her room to say no.

"T'll keep courting you until you do." Seeing that reasoning with him was useless and knowing full well he wasn't the type to give up easily, Tara hurried into the house with the watering can in hand and quickly ---- shut the door, cutting off any chance for him to look or talk to her. His memory had been wiped, yet he still fell for her at first sight. Neither Lance nor Shawn had reacted this way, but ironically, Soren did.

It was no wonder that when they ran into each other a few days ago, the way he looked at her felt so much like before. Just then, Soren called loudly from outside the yard." Finish watering the rest of the flowers, and I'll leave." Tara cracked the door open slightly and stiffly replied, "I- I've already finished." Soren watched as she quietly opened the door a little and immediately shut it again after saying what she needed to say. He couldn't help but let out a soft laugh.

She was honestly too adorable. From that day on, Tara started actively avoiding him. The moment she heard any sound, she would dash back into the house. Several days passed without another encounter with Soren. That afternoon, Tara was in the kitchen cooking with the last of the ingredients. The fridge was nearly empty, which meant she couldn't put off grocery shopping any longer. She must go to the market tomorrow. ---- Suddenly, her doorbell rang. She didn't open the door right away.

Instead, she looked out the window and saw Elaine standing outside. Only then did she step out to open the gate and ask, "What is it? Elaine grabbed her hand. "Isn't the guest who booked the mountain -view room the male celebrity who sings really well?" Tara nodded hesitantly. "Yup." "T saw him chatting with you the other day, and I've noticed he's been coming around your place a lot these past few days." As she spoke, Elaine looked up and down Tara several times.

With her looks, elegance, and innocence, it wasn't surprising that such a high-value man would be interested in her. Tara was so embarrassed she didn't know how to respond. She opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing. "T actually thought about going after him before I even knew he was a celebrity," Elaine added. Tara became even more flustered after hearing that. Fortunately , Elaine had only thought about it and hadn't ---- taken it seriously, nor did she see Tara as a love rival.

"Tara, you must seize this opportunity," Elaine urged her quietly. "He's a high-value man. I looked him up, and he's never been in a relationship with anyone before. Who knows, he might even be a vir-" Tara turned bright red in the face and quickly stopped her from continuing. "Elaine, don't say things like that. You're still young." Elaine didn't take her seriously. "I'm already 21 years old, so I'm not that young anymore. You need to put in some effort!

Not only is he handsome and rich, but he's also semi-retired from the entertainment industry. I bet he hasn't even had his first kiss." The more she thought about it, the more excited she got. She covered her mouth and giggled like she had discovered some shocking gossip. Tara suddenly remembered that searing kiss from before and hurriedly pushed the image out of her mind. "T'll think about it. You should head back," she said.

Elaine nodded and reminded her before leaving, "You must tell me if you two end up together." She might not be able to land a high-value and clean man like that, but she would be just as happy if Tara could. ---- Tara wasn't swayed in the slightest by Elaine's urging. She continued to avoid Soren. The next morning, she rode her bicycle out to the market. Just as she reached the guesthouse's entrance, Soren appeared alongside her on a bicycle as well.

He greeted her lazily, "Morning." Tara stayed silent, hoping he would take the hint and back off. But no matter how fast she pedaled, she couldn't outrun him. Maybe his bicycle was just more expensive - she had to work hard to pedal, while he looked completely relaxed. For their safety, she had no choice but to slow down. The morning sun was already glaring. When she sped up, he did too. And when she slowed down, he followed suit.

Tara finally stopped under a shady patch and glared at Soren in frustration. But instead of getting mad, he just smiled brightly and lazily asked her, "Are you going to continue to avoid me?" She was truly at her wits' end. Too fed up to bother arguing with him, she just rode away on her bicycle. At the market, she hadn't expected just how shameless Soren could be. He was absolutely impossible to shake off.

Every time she put something into her bicycle's basket ---- and reached to pay, he beat her to it. The stall owner grinned and said, "Your boyfriend is so handsome! You two look perfect together." Soren's handsome face was practically glowing with his smile. "I'll take all-" Tara quickly clamped a hand over his mouth. She understood him too well and knew exactly what he was about to say. "Sorry, he meant he's tasted all these vegetables before." She then dragged Soren away from the stall.

Only when, they were some distance away did she let go of his arm. "Soren Farrell!" She gave him a warning in a low voice. Her eyes were wide and clear but utterly lacking in intimidation. Soren sidled up to her with a grin. "Say my name a few more times. I like hearing it." Tara was speechless.
