---- Chapter 131 It dawned on Tara that no matter how much she avoided him, it was useless. She figured that unless she ended up as tragically as the original host in the story, there was no real way to break free from the plot. However, she didn't want to take that risk. She had finally managed to escape the villa and had gone through so much just to avoid the tragic ending in the story. Had all that effort been for nothing? Since she couldn't avoid it, she might as well go along with it.
She understood Soren's personality to a certain extent. Unless he got bored or decided to give up on his own, avoiding him would only feed his desire to win. So, she might as well agree to be with him. Right now, he had no memory of her. It might be one of those cases where once he got what he wanted, the interest would fade quickly. After packing her things, she picked up her phone to send a message to Soren. Just before hitting send, she took a deep breath.
Then, with all the courage she could muster, she tapped the screen. The message showed as sent. Less than two minutes later, she received a reply. ---- "Open the door." Tara looked out at the dark valley -a figure stood at the gate. She went downstairs and opened the door. Under the dim streetlight , Soren appeared in her line of sight. Radiating off a gloomy and dangerous air, he seemed to blend with the dark woods behind him. He looked down at her.
"Have you made up your mind?" Tara slowly nodded. "Yes, I agree to be with you. But you can't go back on your word on the golf course development." Soren stepped closer and held her hand tightly in a flirtatious manner. "Let's talk inside," he said in a low and hoarse voice. 1 After that, he entered the yard and casually locked the gate behind him. Since he was holding her by the waist, Tara had no choice but to walk inside with him.
Once they had entered the living room, she quickly broke free from his grip. The sexual tension in the air and the way he looked at her made her keep avoiding his gaze. "W-Why don't you take a seat over there first?" To her surprise, Soren actually listened to her. He sat down and chuckled lightly. "Do you plan to sit diagonally ---- across from me?" Even though he had seen through her, she still took a seat diagonally across from him. He wasn't in a rush, so he just smiled.
Since she had already agreed to be his girlfriend, there would be plenty of time ahead for them to be intimate. "Since you've already made up your mind, we'll leave tomorrow." Tara had an important question weighing on her mind." I've already packed up my luggage. Which city do you live in now?" "Bellington." Tara breathed a sigh of relief. As long as it wasn't Sorrentia or Stugard, she was fine with living anywhere. "Do you often get together with Mr.
Swain and the others these days?" Soren raised an eyebrow slightly. "We've disbanded and are half-retired now, so we rarely meet." Tara felt his gaze fixed on her, so she didn't dare show any sign of relaxation. She simply nodded and didn't ask any more questions. "Don't worry, we're in a normal relationship . So, it's no big deal even if we get photographed together," Soren ---- said. Tara sat there stiffly. It was probably for the best that they had no memories of her.
Otherwise , it would have been one brutal showdown after another. He looked at her silently for a long moment before ordering in a husky voice, "Come here." Tara refused to move, knowing full well he wasn't the type to behave himself. "I-It's really late. You should go back. Come find me when you're ready to leave tomorrow," she said in a bid to send him away. After that, she stood and walked over to open the door. Soren showed no intention of staying.

He rose from the couch and strode toward the door. Tara didn't look at him. She just waited for him to leave, though she never expected to hear the sound of the door closing. He had shut the door, yet he was still there. In the next instant, he pulled her close by the waist and pressed her back against the wall before kissing her on the lips. Tara tried to struggle but was overwhelmed by his deep, possessive kiss. Even as his breath came out ragged, he still couldn't bear to part with her lips.
The hem of her ---- clothes was lifted as she melted into his kiss. After what felt like forever, Tara regained a shred of clarity and halted the momentum before it could go any further. "Let's continue this after we leave this town." Her voice, softer than usual, was incredibly pleasant to the ear. As hard as it was for Soren to hold back, he still listened to her. He nuzzled her for a long moment before reluctantly letting her go.
He opened the door, and Tara stood in the doorway, her eyes misty as she looked at him. Unable to control himself anymore, he strode forward and lifted her chin, kissing her deeply again. Tara grew dizzy under his kiss. She heard him choke out, " Don't look at me like that, or I won't be able to control myself." She quickly pushed him out of the door. "Go back now." Her hands trembled as she closed the door. After waiting for a while, she finally heard the sound of the gate opening.
Tara walked to the window. Only after seeing Soren had left the yard did she bite her lip and head upstairs. While changing out of her clothes, Tara noticed that the ---- back buttons had been fastened wrong-Soren had only hooked one. She reached back to undo it, but as she tooka closer look, she realized they hadn't been buttoned incorrectly at all. They had actually been torn off, leaving just one intact.
She forced herself not to think too much about it, or else tonight would be another restless, burning night. Even though she did sleep deeply that night, the quality wasn't great. Her dreams were a chaotic mess, but she woke up with no memory of them. After getting up early, she brushed her teeth and washed her face. Then, she picked up her suitcase and placed it in the living room. Since everything happened so suddenly, she figured she probably had to say goodbye to Mandy over the phone.
She cleaned and tidied the cottage every day, so it was already neat and spotless. Just a quick touch-up later would be enough. Tara looked at the flowers in the yard, planning to place them in Judy's garden. After all, they happened to grow flowers there too. She had just finished talking to Earl about it and was planning to move the flowers over later when Soren came in with several cleaners. ---- He reached out and took her hand. "You don't have to do anything.
I've already hired cleaners." When he saw her glance toward the flowers in the yard, he added, "They'll move the flowers to the guesthouse too, so don't worry about it." Tara looked up in surprise. "How did you know I'd give these flowers to Judy?" "It was an easy guess," he answered lazily. Soren glanced at the lone piece of luggage in the living room. Something struck him, and with a chuckle, he said, "It's strange, but without me knowing, I ended up adding a walk-in closet in my bedroom.
Inside was completely filled with women's clothes." He lowered his gaze to Tara. "And they are all in your size.
