Chapter 36 Tara was already bundled up in her thickest hat and gloves. She didn't even glance at Stella. Stella was tongued-tied. How could Tara not be embarrassed? The male assistants were all here, and she just pulled on all those layers right in front of them. While sitting in her seat earlier, she'd simply layered her thick clothes and thermal pants on top. It didn't take long before she felt warm all over; she hadn't even noticed when Stella had gone to the restroom.
But a few of the assistants were clearly annoyed that Stella had taken so long to change. "Stella, I thought you'd fallen into the toilet or something. You were so slow. I was about to explode waiting on you," one of the assistants grumbled as he rushed toward the restroom. As he passed Stella, he shot a glare at her. He clearly blamed her for holding everyone up. Stella hadn't expected that she would end up being scolded.
She'd meant to make things difficult for Tara, but she was the one being embarrassed instead. She had no choice but to sit there, swallowing her anger while enduring the sarcastic comments from the assistants around her. Tara didn't look at her even once. No matter how many schemes Stella had, they were useless if Tara didn't respond. As they stepped off the jet, a blast of freezing wind hit Tara straight in the face. She quickly pulled her hat down over her forehead.
The cold stung like needles. Everyone rushed to get into the cars, with Tara being the last one in line. Shielded from the biting wind, Stella shut the car door and looked toward Tara, who was just reaching for the handle. But Stella said to the driver, "Everyone's here." The driver didn't think twice as he started the car and headed for the vacation villa. In just a moment, Tara's figure grew smaller and smaller until it disappeared completely in the swirling snow.

Stella maintained her gentle smile the whole time, as if she had no idea that Tara had been left behind. Tara hadn't expected this at all. Something like this happening right when they'd arrived at Belmora was not a good start. The trip would be anything but peaceful. She took out her phone, intending to call Terence or Gemma for help. She didn't contact any of the male leads or those male assistants because she didn't have their numbers. She had to make the call last.
Thankfully, she was bundled up. Otherwise, she wouldn't last long out there. Just then, a horn sounded behind her. Tara quickly took a few steps back, and a sleek black luxury car slowly pulled up in front of her. The window rolled down, revealing Lance's striking, refined face. He looked at her and said, "Get in." Tara nodded immediately and walked around the car, getting in on the other side.
The moment she sat down, the deep, woody scent clinging to the man beside her enveloped her completely. Lance was dressed in a deck coat. He looked elegant and composed. The noble air around him made people instinctively lower their gaze. Every breath was filled with his presence. Stella was about to open the door, but Harry drove off. Stella said something to the driver. Even in the biting wind, Tara had heard what Stella said clearly.
The truth was mentioned, but there was no security footage to prove it. The female lead in the story, while Tara was the doomed side character. The female bravely in favor of one of the male leads was just asking for trouble. His brows creased in displeasure. Then, he pressed his lips into a thin line and pulled out his phone to send a message. "Surely you'll get a proper explanation for this." Her eyes were so dark they seemed bottomless.
Tara didn't know how to respond and, under his intense stare, she quickly looked away. "Then, thank you, Mr. Swala." Chapter 37
