Chapter 33

The local person in charge led them to a high-end bed and breakfast. Judging from the architecture, it was undoubtedly a luxurious accommodation. Only after inquiring did they find out it was specifically used to host VIPs.

Seated opposite each other, Ethan exuded a dominating air that made the person in charge speak in a trembling voice. He didn’t even dare to say, “Mr. Henderson, I’ll take you around tomorrow morning.” Once Ethan nodded, the person in charge wiped the sweat from his forehead and hastily departed.

Tim’s room was at a considerable distance. Upon discovering that Grace would be staying opposite him, he was somewhat unhappy, yet he didn’t dare speak up in protest.

With only Grace and Ethan left in the corridor, Grace opened his room door for him.

“Mr. Henderson, please rest well,” Grace said. Ethan, truly handsome and a sight for sore eyes, nodded, closed his room door, and retired to his room.

Grace entered her room to take a shower and wash her hair, only to realize the hairdryer was broken. By then, it was already 11 at night. Since the VIP rooms were about ten in front desk, she couldn’t be bothered to seek help there. Instead, she went to knock on Ethan’s room door.

As the door opened to reveal Ethan, it was clear he had just finished his own shower, as his hair was wet too. He appeared a lot more approachable with his hair hanging limply around his face. Though it wasn’t Grace’s first time seeing him like this, her heart still skipped a beat at the sight.

Dressed in casual attire, Ethan’s expression was cold, and his lips were somewhat pale.

“Mr. Henderson, the hairdryer in my room is broken. Could I borrow yours? Do you need to use it?” Grace asked.

Ethan shook his head, letting out two coughs as he did so.

Grace grabbed the hairdryer and was about to return to her room when she heard him coughing once more. Thus, she asked, “Do you have a cold? I have some medicine with me.”

At first, she thought he would refuse, but to her surprise, he wheeled himself behind her and followed her to her room.

She pointed at her bag and said, “The medicine’s in there. I’ll get you some water.”

She searched the room for a bottle of water, which she then opened and handed to him.

After Ethan took the medicine and turned to gaze out the window, Grace finished drying her hair. The bed and breakfast was elegantly designed, with every window offering a different view.

Once Grace stepped out of the bathroom, she noticed Ethan was still there. She swiftly gathered up the hairdryer's wire.

“Mr. Henderson, do you want to dry your hair too?” Grace asked.

However, Ethan remained silent, his body tense as if he was trying hard to restrain himself.

Hurrying over to his side, Grace saw his face flushed, with sweat beaded across his forehead. Some droplets were rolling down the sides of his angular cheeks.

She glanced at the blister pack on the bed and felt her heart skip a beat. It was none other than the mystery drug Selene had given her the other day, which had gotten mixed up with the cold medicine.

A shudder went through Grace. She reached out to feel Ethan’s forehead, noting how hot it was. He was running a fever and had unknowingly taken that kind of drug.

If Tim found out, she wouldn't be able to prove her innocence!

“Mr. Henderson, I’ll go get you a doctor right now!” Grace exclaimed.

She had barely finished speaking when there were noises outside the window. It sounded like footsteps and people talking.

“That should be staying in this room.”

“Let’s hear he’s supposed to be alone tonight.”
